Let’s Look at Acorns – A Product Review

Don’t keep all your eggs in one basket – Diversify!  This is something I have heard most of my working life.  Well, a few years ago I found an ad for Acorn in my inbox and it sounded pretty good.  I decided to try it and have not regretted it for one second since…

What is Acorns?

Acorns is a financial service that assists you with investing your money. The Acorns app that you can download to your mobile device or computer to help expand your earning potential with very little Investment.  When you sign up you link a credit card or bank account, and every time you use that card or subscribe to a product that supports Acorns your accounts grow.

Soon after I joined, they added a debit card in beta version and I signed up for that.  I use this card to add any income I raise through my business (Avon) and now my affiliate links.  I have chosen to just let that grow as an emergency type investment fund.

Once a month I add $5 or $10 dollars as a contribution to one of these accounts to watch it grow.  It says by the time I am 103 I will have over $165,000 in Acorn investments.

What are the benefits?

The important benefit of Acorns is that they allow you to start early, helping you to invest often, and give you a sense of security and peace of mind doing so.  Invest in your future, spend smarter, and grow your knowledge as you go and earn additional funds in found money from services you may already use that sponsor Acorns.

Refer others you know and Acorns rewards both of you with a deposit of $5.00 to each of your investment accounts.

How do Acorns work?

Just log on and set up an account to work with your new Acorns account.  Every time you make a purchase and use that account to pay = Acorns will upgrade the change to the nearest dollar and invest it into your account for you. Once these round-ups total $5 or more they will invest the money for you.

You can also add additional funds into your account at any time to boost the growth of your Oak to produce a multitude of Acorns.

Why you should plant Acorns?

It is an inexpensive, easy way to invest or save in your future without spending an arm and a leg to fund it,  It is fun to watch your mighty oak grow as you seed fund your Acorns.

  1. Acorn seems more like a very great initiative that requires little to no capital at all to get started with and along the line, keep everything going through constant engagement in investment and referring. It is great to know of and I’d surely do one for me and for my son too. Since he is just 5years old. By starting such an investment for him, he should grow up to owning a whole lot more of money in investment. Thanks

    • I found it about three years ago, and wish I had something like it years ago when I was just starting working. Just click on the link at the bottom of the review and Acorns rewards both of us with $5 into our accounts.  Then you could sign your son under you, and each of you would be rewarded with $5 too.  It is definitely a great deal!!
